Due to a period of deterioration of the convent, a series of adaptations and transformations were carried out in order to introduce the programme of a pousada. The rehabilitation and reactivation of the Santa Marinha convent has great value as a whole. It means highlighting much of its history, its situation, the value and quality of its granite work and that of its garden, the beauty of its cloister and Fray Jerónimo porch, the quantity, richness and variety of its tiles and the urban development potential of its land.
